Who can sign online?

A company’s notifications can be signed in the online service at ytj.fi by:

  • a member or the chairperson of the board of directors
  • when filing changes, also the managing director or the house manager 
  • the private trader
  • partners in general partnerships
  • general partners in limited partnerships
  • an attorney in some notifications. Read more about attorney's right to sign online.​
  • a contact person who has been authorised in the online service at ytj.fi. Read more about authorisations.​

Please note that holders of procuration or persons authorised to represent the company cannot sign a Trade Register notification.

If the only partners in a general partnership or the only general partners in a limited partnership are companies, the partnerships cannot sign online.

Persons registered at the Trade Register before 1994

The details of board members, managing directors, house managers, and partners registered at the Trade Register before 1994 do not include their personal identity codes, which is why they cannot sign notifications of changes online.

Please inform the Trade Register of their personal identity codes to give them access to online signing. The notification is free of charge.

Are you signing a notification filled in by someone else?

If someone else has filled in the notification and you are signing it, proceed as follows:

  1. Log in to the online service at ytj.fi.Avautuu uuteen välilehteen You are automatically directed to the front page of the service. Please note that the service is only available in Finnish and in Swedish.
  2. Are you signing a start-up notification? You can see the notifications on the front page. Click on the notification you want to sign.
  3. Are you signing a notification of changes? On the front page, fill in the number of the notification in the field "Ilmoituksen allekirjoittaminen"/"Underteckna anmälan" (Sign a notification) and click “Hae"/"Sök" (Search).
  4. On the signing page, confirm that you have checked the notification.
  5. Sign by selecting ”Kyllä, allekirjoitan” or ”Ja, jag undertecknar” (Yes, I sign).

What do I need to log in?

Log in to the online service at ytj.fiAvautuu uuteen välilehteen in Finnish or Swedish using Suomi.fi e-Identification. You need a Finnish personal identity code and a Finnish means of identification (such as internet banking codes or a mobile certificate).
