Filing notifications in the online filing service at ytj.fi 

Companies or organisations should file notifications with the PRH’s Trade Register and the registers of the Finnish Tax Administration when:

• establishing a company or an organisation and starting business
• altering a business
• terminating a business.

Trade Register notifications must be submitted online

As of 2026, companies registered in the Trade Register must file their notifications and applications online. This does not apply to private traders, associations or foundations. Check the company types in the Finnish Trade Register at prh.fi.Avautuu uuteen välilehteen ​

You can file notifications using the ytj.fi service in Finnish and Swedish and our online forms. ​You can use the online service at ytj.fi to establish the most common company types and file the most common changes to the Trade Register and the Tax Administration. ​​

Establishing a company in the Finnish Trade Register

You can use the online service at ytj.fi to establish the following company types: 

• Start a limited liability company:
• • Starting a limited liability company through a guided process (the service creates the articles of association and the memorandum of association)

If you cannot file your submission to the Trade Register in the online service at ytj.fi, submit the notification using our online form. Send form Y and the required attachments to the Trade Register online. See Trade Register forms online at prh.fi.Avautuu uuteen välilehteen ​

If your company or organisation type is not on the list above, submit your notification to the Finnish Tax Administration using form Y, which you should send by post.
